A man and boy sit in an old house crowded with furniture, sunlight, and dust.

The man stomps his foot on the hard-wood floor. He’s wearing a white shirt, black jacket, and black derby hat.

The boy is wearing the identical outfit. A guitar rests on his tiny knee. Tiny fingers grip the strings. Tiny fingers pluck the strings.

The man is nodding, rocking as the boy plays.

The man is Jack White — of The White Stripes, The Ranconteurs, and Dead Weather fame.

The boy is his son.

Jack White is one of our best living guitarists. And he is teaching his son how to play.

This scene is part of the documentary It Might Get Loud. Jack White is the youngest of three generations of guitarists showcased.

Jimmy Page and The Edge are the other two. It doesn’t matter. The best part of this film happens in this old house crowded with furniture, sunlight and dust.

It happens when Jack White is teaching his son how to play his guitar. It happens when Jack White says, “You have to fight the guitar …”

“And you have to win.”

Some of the best writing advice … ever

That’s an incredible piece of advice for playing guitar.

For writing. For life. It’s back alley wisdom. A tip you might get from an older brother in a vacant lot before your first fistfight.

You have to fight. And you have to win.

If Jack would’ve said, “You have to fight the guitar,” and stopped there, then the mood in the room might have been grim.

Leaving it at fight the guitar and the lesson was this: it’s just the boy against the guitar. And my money is on the guitar.

In other words, there was no hope. You could win. More than likely you could lose. Yet, he said, “And you have to win.” In other words, fight until you win. There is hope, but you have to fight.

It could take three months. It could take three years.

But it’s not enough to just fight. You don’t become one of the greatest living guitarists without a little strategy, technique, knowledge and flair. These are things that make guitarists’ world famous. And writers legendary.

So, let’s look at how these four categories can help you become an exceptional writer …

1. Strategy

Always start with the why.

Why do you want to become a writer? Do you have what it takes? What does it take? Here are some signals to look for:

  • Drive for Supremacy — Exceptional writers believe that they have to be the best. They have a sense of destiny. They will put a dent in the universe. They will be a pioneer, champion or master. They map out grand visions and risky projects. They shoot for monumental victories, and they are not satisfied with the attention of thousands. They want millions, even billions. And more often than not they succeed in some capacity.
  • Capacity for Solitude — Exceptional writers are comfortable being alone. They prefer the library over the coffee house, the office over the swimming pool. Their involvement in social, political or religious communities and affairs are low. To be active in these realms is to take time away from work. Work above all else.
  • Special Talent — Exceptional writers can write. It’s usually the only thing they do well. It’s natural that they become servants to that talent, seeking ways to express and master it. They look for opportunities to study under top teachers. They read and write obsessively.

Listen, while everyone on the planet can and should be able to write, it doesn’t mean they can do it well. There are reasons why you shouldn’t be a writer.

Perhaps you don’t know if you were meant to be a writer. Perhaps you’re not sure you want to devote your life to the craft. If that is the case, then you could alwaystackle a writing project for 30 days. At the end of 30 days evaluate your feelings.

Did you enjoy it?

Did you have trouble staying on track?

2. Technique

Now we’re into the mechanics of the thing, actually punching the keyboard.

This will probably absorb most of your time since mastering technique is what has made the greats the greatest.

This is hard work. This is daily work.

If you’re a dandy or a princess, then this lifestyle is not for you. Wrestling with a 2,000 word essay is not unlike birthing a calf. A life is at stake here. Your job is to make sure it survives.

Your job is to sit in the cold and mud and pull until it comes out.

  • Park your bottom in front of the keyboard — Do I need to explain?
  • Practice — Even when they are not writing, exceptional writers find ways to practice. They write emails, tweets or Facebook posts. They journal in the morning and in the evening, and whether they are running over hilly trails or lying beneath the clouds, they are writing and rewriting in their heads. Furthermore, their practice involves a clear purpose: they are trying to improve a certain element of their writing. It could be first sentences or calls-to-action. And finally, this practice is repetitive. The goal is to make it an instinct.
  • Adjust — Exceptional writers are the best and worst critics of their own work. They pull out old letters and blog posts. They re-purpose recent emails after they’ve ruthlessly edited like David Mamet. And they are always asking themselves: “How could I have written this better?”
  • Ask for feedback — Exceptional writers scheme their way into relationships with honest professionals who can give them the kind of input needed to improve. Your purpose is to become a pit bull on paper — but that won’t happen unless you are willing to adjust.
  • Experiment — Exceptional writers look for new angles. They study a list of the best first and last sentences. They wonder if an article would be better if they injected humor, shared a racy illustration or opened with a quote. Anything tobreak new ground.

There are endless ways to practice and master technique. You are limited only by your imagination. And if you are an exceptional writer, then that imagination will be deep.

3. Knowledge

There are two kinds of knowledge: general and specific. General knowledge is three miles wide and three inches deep. Specific knowledge is three inches wide and 3 miles deep.

As a professional web writer my specific knowledge plunges into the depths of writing, persuasion, content marketing, advertising, negotiations, SEO and social media.

My general knowledge ranges from mountaineering to morality — from Christianity to chess. I enjoy reading about gravity, content marketing, dying, Theodore Roosevelt and libertarianism. There is no end to my curiosity. And all of it feeds the beast.

So how do you build this knowledge? Here are seven approaches. I recommend them all.

  • Build a wicked vocabulary — Words are your currency. Do you know how to wisely invest in words? Read blogs, books and speeches. Read wide. And read the unorthodox to build that wicked vocabulary.
  • Become an anti-scholar — Nassim Nicholas Taleb, author of The Black Swan, coined this term. It refers to the person who focuses on the books he or she has NOT read. It’s not so much how much you know, but how much you don’t know — and how to find out that information when you need itBen Johnson, while scanning the book spines of a fellow’s library, said knowing where to find the information is just as important as having the information in your head.
  • Memorize — Recall in writing is critical. I have a pretty good memory. Not photographic, but I can remember most memories in detail. This is why I try to memorize chunks of text, handwrite a compelling page or listen repeatedly to a line in a speech. I want it for recall. But I also want to impress the cadence, vocabulary and style into my mind. So pick your favorite writers, and then start.
  • Travel — Reading is not the only mode of learning. Actually going through experiences, meeting new people and seeing different parts of the world will build your knowledge base. It’s what Jeff Goins calls the discipline of travel. And it’s an excellent educator.
  • Sit in a classroom — These days this doesn’t mean you have to enroll in school, load your backpack with paper and pencils and roll up to the community college on your bicycle. Most major universities are giving away their courses online. MITYale or Stanford. Just look up your favorite university and I’ll bet you they are giving away courses. Tip: my favorite course I listened to was Shelly Kagan’s Death.
  • Educate through writing sprints — From late October to July of this year I wrote over 220 articles in nine months for a client. These weren’t push over posts. These were technical and an average of 1,400 words per article. That’s five day a week. This is break-neck speed, an accelerated course in SEO, social media, marketing and start ups. And, of course, writing. I got really good at predicting which article would do well, and where.
  • Follow a blog like Gangrey — The guys at Gangrey are on a mission to “prolong the slow death of newspapers.” So they hunt down and share some of the best long-form reporting online. You can trust that each story they find will have this in common: great openers, sublime conclusions, and beautiful storytelling in between. Whether it is about a marathoner fraud or the death of a semi-pro football player, these articles rock.

Like technique, the ways you absorb knowledge are only limited by your imagination. What methods do you use to build your specific and general knowledge?

4. Flair

Listen, one of the hardest things for a writer to uncover is her voice, style and flair. Why? Lack of confidence, which comes from a lack of experience. And the best way to cure a lack of confidence and experience is to practice.

See, churning out page after page day in and day you will slowly uncover who you are. You’ll begin to recognize your voice and flair.

But there are other clues you can look for, too. Here are five.

  1. Find the source of your compliments — Think back to the last time you shared something you wrote with someone. What did they compliment you on? Did they say you were funny? That you have a way of telling a story? When you start to see a pattern in the compliments you receive in what you write, then you can start to identify your voice.
  2. Find the feeling that is you — For many people writing is a process of becoming a different person. Joan Didion said, “It’s the only way I can be aggressive.” Didion is a petite woman who wears dark sunglasses. Anyone who’s read her work understands her carnal severity. The confident voice she uses in her world. The courage to catch hell. What kind of person does writing allow you to become? Find it, and then dwell in it.
  3. A Personal Seal — The work of exceptional writers — whether blogs or books — bears a distinctive seal. Hugh McLeod is the darling of meaningful work. Leo Babauta is the spokesperson for minimalism. Douglas Adams is the skeptical comic. C. S. Lewis, the rational fabulist. Here’s the lesson: identify with what you do. View it as a personal extension of yourself. Invest a personal stake in your writing. And make it big.
  4. Be an iconoclast — Exceptional writers are usually at odds with someone. The State. The Culture. A person or process. Their style is confrontational, wild and sarcastic. Before his death, Christopher Hitchens was one of the most feared rhetoricians. George Orwell noted that his work was lifeless when it wasn’t political. Are you bucking the trend? Or are you intentionally parroting the status quo? Look for ways to stand out. To confront. And make it appear natural.
  5. Milk your dysfunctions — Regret. Bitterness. Pain. These are the usual responses to awful experiences. But have you ever thought of being grateful for these experiences? That because of what you have suffered you are now perfectly suited to help other people cope and fight through those same situations? Flannery O’Connor said that if you survive the first two decades of your life then you’ll have a lifetime of writing material. However, you can go too far in this regard. Exhibit A: Cat Marnell.

Have you found your voice? How did you find it? Please share.

I saved the best for last …

I need to come clean with you. After reading this article you might think I’m a curmudgeon. That I view the writing life as a Spartan affair full of suffering.

Not true.

I love to write. I think it is a joy. A celebration. Yes, it’s a fight. But it’s not work. I love to climb into that ring every morning and manhandle words. It can be painful and a drudgery at times, but it never really feels like I’m suffering.

To quote Ray Bradbury …

The moment it feels like work, stop and do something else.

There’s an action that almost every blogger wants his or her users to take. Most of these bloggers use a single word to convince readers to take this action. They use this word because other bloggers use it.

Do you know what that word is?

Subscribe.

A week and a half ago I had a sudden realization. Subscriptions generally cost money. Think about that for a second. It’s jarring, especially if you’ve spent the past few months or even years incessantly asking your readers to subscribe.

What Does It Mean to Subscribe?

Here are the definitions of “subscribe” from two online dictionaries.

Dictionary.com: “to pledge, as by signing an agreement, to give or pay (a sum of money) as a contribution, gift, or investment.”

Merriam-Webster.com: “to write (one’s name) underneath.”

Are you being completely clear with your word choice? When you ask your readers to subscribe, are you asking them to do the virtual version of writing their name underneath? Or are you asking them to agree to pay you a sum of money?

You want your readers to sign up for a free service because every time one of them does, your blog becomes a little bit more valuable (and you get a small ego boost). You need to make it absolutely obvious to these people that it costs nothing more than a few seconds of time to get valuable content delivered directly to them via RSS or e-mail.

Word Association

The percentage of readers who misunderstand what you mean when you ask them to subscribe is largely dependent on your niche. Readers who know what RSS is probably aren’t confused by the terminology, but most web users have no clue about RSS (as Brian has pointed out here and here).

I’ve found that a good measure of reader savviness is a blog’s split between RSS and e-mail subscribers – the higher the percentage of RSS subscribers, the more savvy the readership. I write a blog about entry-level jobs for new college graduates. Despite what you might think of the younger generation, the vast majority of my site’s visitors are not familiar with RSS. 55% of my subscribers get my daily posts through e-mail.

From what I’ve heard from other bloggers this is well above average, and I believe that my percentage of e-mail subscribers would be even higher had less savvy readers not been scared off because they thought “subscribing” would cost them money. These are the readers who think of magazines when they hear “subscribe.”

They think of paying to get something.

Great Theory! Now Back It Up

I use Google Analytics’ outbound click tracking on my blog so that I can analyze the subscription behavior of my readers. This method misses RSS subscriptions from the address bar, but the people who subscribe in that way are probably the most savvy readers and are basically irrelevant to this case study.

Most of my subscribers use one of the two large buttons on my site. The buttons used to include the text “Subscribe by E-mail” and “Subscribe by RSS” along with appropriate graphics. After I had my epiphany, I switched the text to “Get Jobs by E-mail” and “Get Jobs by RSS.”

I instantly saw results.

New Subscribers

The above graph shows the trend in clicks to my RSS feed and e-mail subscription buttons for the 8 days prior to the change and the 8 days after the change. My subscription rate has increased 254% since I made the change, and 66% of the new subscribers are e-mail subscribers.

This is in line with my hypothesis that the people who misunderstand the word “subscribe” are the same people who will choose e-mail over RSS. Although they may not be web savvy, these readers are extremely valuable. It is essential in all copywriting that you avoid unclear jargon, even if it’s not jargon to you.

Words Make All the Difference

OK, so I haven’t proven that my readers actually associated the word “subscribe” with paying money. The only way to prove that is by surveying readers.

But I believe I have shown that very small changes in word choice based on well-thought-out theories can have a significant influence on the actions that you urge your readers to take. Whether or not my theory on the connotations associated with the word “subscribe” is accurate is irrelevant. It’s results that matter, and changing one word on my blog has given me outstanding results.

When readers visit my site, I now invite them to “Get Jobs by E-mail.” Brian encourages readers to get “E-mail Updates,” and he did this way before I submitted this article to him.

How will you alter your word choice to increase your subscription rate

**How to Make Your Blog Irresistibly Interesting: 21 Proven Techniques**

“Be interesting.” It’s simple advice, but not always easy to implement. If you want to grow a popular blog, capturing and holding your readers’ attention is crucial. Without it, no one will stick around.

But what does it really mean to “be interesting”? Too often, we talk about abstract concepts like differentiation, value, and triggers. These are important ideas, but they can be hard to grasp and even harder to apply.

I want to change that. I’ve been observing what grabs attention—both mine and others’—and I’ve compiled a list of 21 actionable techniques to make your blog compelling. While this list isn’t exhaustive, it’s a great place to start.

1. **Be Wrong**
In a world obsessed with correctness, being willing to be wrong can make you stand out. Challenge the norm and don’t be afraid to take a controversial stance. It can captivate readers who are tired of the same old perspectives.

2. **Be Right**
Alternatively, being exceptionally right can draw attention too. Whether you’re the fastest runner or the clearest explainer, embodying perfection in your niche will make people take notice.

3. **Communicate What Others Can’t**
Many people struggle to articulate their thoughts and feelings. By effectively communicating complex ideas, you become invaluable to your readers who seek clarity and understanding.

4. **Do Something**
Don’t just talk—act. Live your advice and share your experiences. Real-life examples are powerful and inspire readers to follow suit.

5. **Surprise People**
Break the mold. Surprise your readers with unexpected angles, outlandish analogies, or by doing the opposite of what’s typical. It keeps them guessing and engaged.

6. **Make People Laugh**
Humor is a fantastic way to keep readers interested. Lighten up your content with jokes and amusing anecdotes to make learning enjoyable.

7. **Offer Them an Aspirin**
Address your readers’ pain points directly. Provide solutions to their problems, and they’ll keep coming back for more.

8. **Show a (Half) Naked Woman**
Provocative imagery can draw attention, though it must be used wisely and appropriately within your content to avoid seeming gratuitous.

9. **Tell Them Who They Are**
Help your readers in their quest for self-identity. Content that resonates deeply with who they are will keep them engaged and loyal.

10. **Predict the Future**
Use your expertise to make bold, well-reasoned predictions. These can captivate readers and spark discussions.

11. **Unleash Your Inner Dork**
Let your passion shine through, even if it seems nerdy. Enthusiasm is infectious and can make your content more relatable and engaging.

12. **Be Courageous**
Share your struggles and triumphs. Courageous stories of overcoming adversity resonate with readers and can inspire them.

13. **Be Startlingly Honest**
Radical honesty can be shocking and refreshing. Don’t be afraid to share your raw, unfiltered truth.

14. **Be Irreverent**
Challenge sacred cows and poke fun at revered topics. It’s risky, but it can create a strong, engaged following.

15. **Tell a Good Story**
Stories are powerful. A well-told story can make your content unforgettable. Focus on telling compelling narratives that resonate deeply.

16. **Break an Important Piece of News**
Being the first to report significant news can drive massive traffic to your blog. Stay on top of trends and be ready to act fast.

17. **Disprove the Proven**
Challenge widely accepted beliefs with strong evidence. Disrupting conventional wisdom can make you a thought leader.

18. **Pick the Perfect Picture**
A well-chosen image can enhance your content and draw readers in. Invest time in finding or creating visuals that complement your message.

19. **Master the Metaphor**
Metaphors create strong, relatable connections to your ideas. Crafting powerful metaphors can make complex concepts more accessible.

20. **Create a Work of Art**
Treat your blog posts as works of art. Put effort into making them beautiful and memorable.

21. **Put Your Readers First**
Ultimately, your readers are the most important part of your blog. Focus on providing value to them above all else, and you’ll build a dedicated audience.

These techniques will help you transform your blog into a captivating space that readers can’t resist. Start implementing them today and watch your audience grow.

**Mastering the Art of Trending on Twitter: A Comprehensive Guide**

In the fast-paced world of social media, Twitter stands out as a powerhouse platform for real-time news, conversations, and trends. With millions of active users engaging in discussions on a wide range of topics, trending on Twitter can significantly amplify your message, increase visibility, and connect you with a global audience. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore the strategies and tactics to master the art of trending on Twitter.

### **Understanding Twitter Trends**

Twitter trends are topics, hashtags, or keywords that are currently popular or widely discussed on the platform. These trends are curated by Twitter’s algorithms based on factors such as the volume of tweets, engagement, and recency. Trending topics appear in the “Trending” section of Twitter’s homepage and can vary based on location, interests, and user activity.

### **Why Trending on Twitter Matters**

Trending on Twitter can have several benefits for individuals, brands, and organizations:

1. **Increased Visibility:** Trending topics attract attention from users browsing Twitter, increasing the visibility of your message or content.

2. **Brand Awareness:** Trending topics provide an opportunity to showcase your brand or product to a larger audience, leading to increased brand awareness and recognition.

3. **Engagement and Interaction:** Trending topics spark conversations and interactions among users, allowing you to engage with your audience and build a community around your brand or cause.

4. **Social Proof:** Trending on Twitter serves as social proof of your relevance and influence within your industry or niche, enhancing your credibility and authority.

### **Strategies to Trend on Twitter**

1. **Create Compelling Content:** Develop content that is timely, relevant, and engaging to capture the attention of Twitter users. This could include breaking news, trending topics, or viral content that resonates with your audience.

2. **Use Hashtags Wisely:** Incorporate relevant hashtags into your tweets to increase discoverability and reach. Research popular hashtags related to your topic and use them strategically to join relevant conversations and trends.

3. **Engage with Influencers:** Connect with influencers and thought leaders in your industry or niche and engage with their content. Retweet, comment, and participate in conversations to increase your visibility and attract their followers to your profile.

4. **Timing is Key:** Tweet at optimal times when your target audience is most active on Twitter. Use Twitter analytics or third-party tools to identify peak engagement times and schedule your tweets accordingly for maximum impact.

5. **Encourage Retweets and Replies:** Craft tweets that encourage retweets, replies, and engagement from your audience. Pose questions, create polls, or share content that prompts users to interact with your tweets, increasing their reach and visibility.

6. **Participate in Trending Conversations:** Monitor trending topics and join relevant conversations by sharing your insights, opinions, or contributions. Use the trending hashtag in your tweets to increase visibility and attract users interested in the topic.

7. **Utilize Multimedia Content:** Incorporate multimedia content such as images, videos, GIFs, and infographics into your tweets to make them visually appealing and stand out in users’ feeds. Visual content tends to attract more engagement and shares on Twitter.

8. **Stay Authentic and Genuine:** Be authentic and genuine in your interactions on Twitter. Avoid overly promotional or spammy content and focus on providing value to your audience through informative, entertaining, or inspiring tweets.

### **Monitoring and Measuring Success**

Once you’ve implemented your trending strategies, it’s essential to monitor and measure your success:

1. **Track Performance Metrics:** Use Twitter analytics to track key performance metrics such as impressions, engagement, retweets, and replies. Analyze which tweets perform best and identify patterns or trends to refine your strategy.

2. **Monitor Trends and Conversations:** Continuously monitor trending topics and conversations on Twitter to stay informed about current events, interests, and discussions relevant to your audience. This allows you to adapt your content strategy and capitalize on emerging trends.

A story built online is itself a book which can get published republished and packaged again and again by the author himself or other fellow online writers. When a blogger is on his website writing his mind out he must always remain focused to what he wants to showcase to world. In place many a times it happens blogger ends up writing for his own and none heeds to listen to him. I always think when I am writing for my readers I let my story connect to them. Rather reader should live the story and hence when I write a post it happens that I end up writing more and more on a topic.

Coming back to the creative edition of the story in hand story telling is like keeping bigger blocks on smaller blocks and it becomes more and more difficult to keep bigger and bigger blocks because it many a times results in falling of the block at a height. Hence forth the story (some say topic) be so designed with a thread passing through it becomes difficult for the blocks to even move rather falling. Hence first thing in hand is well-connected post is important for a super seller story.

As I have said in introduction story content online gets republished like a book. Hence forth only thing which makes difference in between all the stories is representation so if you see Google and search for a topic say Google Page Ranking Factors. Resulting link is at the top and when you type in Google Factors of Page Ranking someone else will be at the top. It means that representation of the story is equally important as story since same subject when searched online delivered two different results. This is our second take away from this discussion.

Now when we look at web hundreds of companies are throwing thousands of content online and when you are a renowned author you can deliver age-old content  in a way thousands of feed reader are ready to pay hundreds of thousands for your blog post. Hence forth the question reappears how to write a super seller story which makes direct impact on the mind of the audience. Let’s compare ourselves with News channels, all of them are delivering same content together i.e. Breaking News but only thing different is way of delivering it. And yes this difference leads to rise of super seller author and highly paid news anchor from rest of the class. Which means that story is important in building a super blogger but it is the blogger himself and his ideas of delivering content which makes the difference.

How to write super seller story without being stereotyped?

Step 1: Find your Target Audience first before writing a post, which means author should know ins and outs of the reader. Therefore it becomes very easy to connect with your readers when you know how and what he thinks and how you can grab his attention towards your post away from online world.

Step 2: Know why your reader should read you?

When many other bloggers writing similar content as you are with same set of readers in mind. It is important to know why should reader read your story in place of others. This will make difference in the story telling technique and hence the direction all together will be different.

Step 3: What is the requirement of the reader?

This is quiet a tricky question but it only requires constant research which leads a blogger to right target audience in right discussion at right time. Till the time is not available blogger should have to keep diving and exploring through the web about the topic which he has delivered and which requires audience identification.

Step 4: Build a connect called you

Story telling is not only about some writer writing and delivering the content which straight away becomes successful. No it is not that simple until and unless you deliver a personal touch in the post it becomes difficult to grab constant attention of a reader. This flavor in your dish plate called story comes over the time when you start understanding the point at which reader may hook down. And before that instance you writing something with a personal touch and reader keeps going through your blog post. And you are through because you are able to deliver the content which made reader to read through in a single go and he keeps visiting again and again for your personal touch.

Now here I leave question just for you:-

What’s your way of writing a super seller story?

Which stories do you really admire always and why?

Building Social Networking PresenceSocial Networking sites are the best ways to build a social networking presence of your blog site. But investing quality time and building your online presence is the toughest task in hand. Aside to Social Networking presence you have to create awesome contents, do guest posting, SEO. But if you are missing quality traffic from Social sites you are missing a big opportunity to leverage presence online. The social media is all about sharing and gaining you can refer to this post on using the Social sites at it best. Be it Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or numerous other sites which are always in the race of being number one in popularity. The popular sites are the best way to build upon your website’s brand as well as getting chunks of backlinks and free traffic towards your blog.

Being present on Social networking sites is good for your Career, Business but the big question is how to find the time in your busy schedule? Ask below questions from yourself to get edge over others Social Entrepreneurs:-

  • What you are willing to learn and what you learn everyday? Put Poll in between the users to learn new thoughts on Business, Marketing, Technology etc as per your niche.
  • Using Social network for best utility as per this Eg. If you use Twitter for reading 1 article a day on How to blog and its best practice, you don’t require to attend Blogging workshops.
  • With Who am I rounding up with? Social media tools helps in your discovery for new friends, colleagues and thus deepen professional ties with online friends.
  • If you desire to be consistent in expansion in your Social network online, consider reducing number of face-to-face events you are planning to attend.
  • How can I replenish myself? What you feel makes you feel relaxed: Watching you favorite match on TV or hanging out with online friends on Facebook? You sometimes have to dump your lesser-satisfactory hobbies as in compared to some of your latest social networking activities.

I recommend few words of caution also with above advices:-

  1. Be cautious in approaching your potential readers and the time you are sending triggers to them, look at analytics when your readers are more prone to click and read your post. This could be understood by doing tests on various time slots and hence catching the right time to send in the trigger.
  2. Also triple confirm your response if you are responding to queries of a reader mass marketing platforms like facebook and twitter is the face of your brand away from your website.
  3. Sharing in-dignified news and post should never be shared liked or commented by your brand. Individual are expected to make mistakes but not brands.
  4. Likes and comment on your reader’s status updates should be in a way which suits your image, it should never look robotic nor should be too personal and interfering.
  5. Your brand is not only meant to share your contents online but it could also be meant to connect with your readers and a discussion forum to share your views and ideas.

How to write Posts Daily

You may be wondering how can someone write daily on his blog. How to bring 365 Inspirations in a year but believe me 365 as a figure is nothing because there are bloggers who are writing more than 365 posts in a year and that too without getting crunch for Ideas. I wrote a detailed article on importance of writing daily on your blog. But here in this post we are not going to talk about the importance but how to meet this difficult target. And this is the right forum where I can suggest recommendations because there are many newbies who are struggling to release content online and are pressing the inspire me button of WordPress.com desperately.

Few Quick Tips

1. Don’t be Desperate rather be passionate

2. Write confidently as if no body else knows the subject better than you

3.  Vocabulary and Grammatical errors are not your weaknesses they are things which needs improvements.

4. Read a lot of article be passionate to read and be more involved in reading than writing because your this reading will give you 100 more ideas to write later upon.

5. Be a critic to yourself because the one who is critic to himself can be a best writer.

6. Ask your readers views and be always ready to accept negative feedback. Remember if every body start thinking alike then there will be no invention.

7. Rewrite your previous articles and update them with latest updates it saves yourself from the writer’s block and helps you improve your previous content.

8. Read books offline as sometimes being more online turns you to be blank in ideas while writing for your blog. It saves the energy of your mind for thinking while writing.

9. Keep thinking about what you read and what you wrote is it up to the level of the first author your writing skills will improve drastically.

10. Challenge yourself everyday as everyday challenge makes you mentally stronger and keeps your passion alive.

How I write posts Everyday?

I have a passion of writing and to communicate with every one in this online world. My ideology is we may not be link minded but we have a mind and we are using it. This is how similar we are, it seems sheepish but the fact is my above statement is hidden with the tip of inspiration.

Explanation

You don’t need inspiration from outside if you are passionate about writing I don’t face loss of words because I have a backup of 100 variety of posts ready in draft so at least I am not empty-handed for next 90 Days. I have to research on the topic online and represent my views on a subject.

Is it Plagiarism?

No i don’t say it plagiarism it is an idea through which you are enlisting timeless topics and drafting them altogether so when you look at them you start writing about the topic. That is why I always recommend to use a diary of your blog so you need not be worried about what I wrote 10 days back it is just in next page in your diary. Also you get inspiration to read and write more if you open your diary. Written Post titles can be restated and hence can bring out the best fit article for a post.

Speed up your slow PC

If you are in trouble with the slow performance of your Windows 7 PC and thinking of moving back to Windows XP. This post is just for you I am not going to suggest any hardware change nor I am recommending any software which will dramatically improve performance of your PC. But I am giving a work around which is provided by windows itself to add extra RAM in your PC without actually opening up your PC. Performance as a measure is different from person to person. I want to brief how I adjudge performance. I judge the performance of my PC with below mentioned parameters:-

When to consider PC is Slow:-

A. The wait interval between me clicking a folder and it showing its content should be anyhow less than half a second. If it is more than that my PC is slow.

B. If I open a page and it is getting opened in 5-10 Seconds on a Wireless Broadband connection whole day my PC is slow .

C. If I open a Music player and I am working on an excel a doc file and a PPT,  copy pasting is taking more than 3 seconds my PC is slow.

D. If Opening a USB drive of 8 GB is taking more than 5 Seconds my PC is slow.

Note:- All above factors are considered when my Documents is not loaded and my desktop is with say 10-15 Icons. I have my Disk fragmented and all other external factors are not considered. The Hard drive is only 25% Full, no software or hardware issues are considered.

So these are the factors on which I adjudge my PC is slow now I did all the as usual stuff like clearing cache history and did the disk fragmentation have a decent hardware configuration. Supportive hardware and Softwares.

When all the above factors and conditions are considered along with the known remedial action what is the other way out. Your 4-32 GB USB Pen drive will come to rescue. First take the backup of your pen drive in your PC and Format it. Post formatting right-click the USB drive and click on properties.

Under properties one tab is there which says Rapid Boost under rapid boost click on use this device, decide the number memory your need for adding up the RAM. The rapid boost significantly enhance the performance of a PC and is really considered a stat of the art option in Windows 7. Below is screen shot for ready reference.

Rapid Boost

Click on  use this device  and press Apply and Ok buttons, your PC will do like a power boosted rocket. Now I have few recommendations in using this option:-

Recommendations:-

1. Before powering off the PC please make sure you selected the Donot use this device and ejected it by right clicking. This will enhance life of your USB and saves you from future USB driver issues.

2. Don’t remove the device directly without  properly ejecting it is recommended for the software safety  of the USB and the PC.

3. Do take care of the sides if you are using it on laptops as the accidental pressure on your usb device may result in your issue with motherboard as USB slots are integrated into motherboard itself. This is recommended because the USB Slot will be occupied and will be popping out from sides of your laptop and while movements you may hit the USB drive accidentally.

4. Never put data in the USB when you are using it as a RAM.

So these are the recommendations or rather say precautions while using USB pen drive as a RAM. How is your way to enhance performance of your PC do let us know with your comments below.
